With a focus on light, materials, and proportions, this 2,200 square foot condo was transformed from a standard basic unit into a grand living and entertainment space. The original layout separated the kitchen, living, and dining rooms from the rest of the living areas. This was discarded in favor of an open floor plan that allows each room in the home to engage with the next. The hallway was widened, and cedar planks and blackened steel accents were used to create a spine and central gallery space for displaying the owner’s artwork.
